Washington, D.C. — Project 2025, a sweeping policy blueprint crafted by the Heritage Foundation, has become a flashpoint in national debate as it lays out a transformative vision for a potential Republican-led federal government in 2025. The nearly 900-page document, part of the foundation’s longstanding Mandate for Leadership series, details a comprehensive restructuring of the executive branch, prioritizing conservative objectives such as expanding presidential authority, overhauling federal agencies, and promoting traditional social values.
Key elements of Project 2025 include proposals to reclassify federal civil service workers as political appointees, making it easier to replace career officials with ideological allies. The plan calls for dismantling entire agencies, notably the Department of Education, and rolling back policies on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
