Samsung Unveils Galaxy A56 5G with Galaxy AI and Flagship-Level Features
Samsung Electronics has officially launched the Galaxy A56 5G, its latest mid-range smartphone, bringing advanced design, powerful performance, and cutting-edge AI features to a wider audience. Announced alongside the Galaxy A36 5G and Galaxy A26 5G, the Galaxy A56 5G stands out with a sleek metal frame, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ for superior durability, and a new floating camera island design.
The device is powered by the 4nm Exynos 1580 chipset paired with the Xclipse 540 GPU, offering enhanced efficiency and graphics performance. A larger vapor chamber ensures better heat management during intensive use. The Galaxy A56 features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1900 nits peak brightness, delivering vibrant visuals and smooth interactions even in bright outdoor conditions.
Camera capabilities are a highlight, with a triple rear setup comprising a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP macro camera. The 12MP front camera supports 4K video recording, and Samsung’s AI-powered enhancements include features like the exclusive ‘Best Face’ for group photos, advanced Object Eraser, and custom filter creation. The A56 also introduces 10-bit HDR front lens recording and improved subject detection in portrait mode for more refined bokeh effects.
The Galaxy A56 5G is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery supporting 45W fast charging, promising up to 65% charge in 30 minutes and a full charge in just over an hour. The device is IP67-rated for water and dust resistance and includes enhanced stereo speakers for a premium multimedia experience.
Running on Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7, the A56 5G debuts ‘Awesome Intelligence’—a suite of Galaxy AI features that offer intelligent photo editing, personalized productivity tools, and the enhanced ‘Circle to Search’ for easier content discovery. Samsung has committed to six years of OS and security updates, ensuring long-term software support and device longevity.
The Galaxy A56 5G is thinner and lighter than its predecessor, the Galaxy A55, making it a stylish yet robust option in the mid-range segment. Available in colors such as Awesome Black, Awesome White, and Awesome Lavender, the phone will hit global markets in March 2025, with prices starting at ₱23,990 for the 8GB+128GB variant and ₱25,990 for the 8GB+256GB model in the Philippines.
With its blend of flagship-level aesthetics, advanced AI capabilities, and durable design, the Samsung Galaxy A56 5G is poised to set a new benchmark in the mid-range smartphone market.
